how is it not a SBR with the vertical grip?

A
Answered by Sal Cappuccino, member, from NC, United States, on January 17, 2022

If you put this upper on a rifle lower, foregrip or not, it would be considered an SBR. Put this upper, minus the vertical grip, on a lower receiver that was designated a pistol lower before it left the factory, it will be considered an AR pistol.

If your V7 300Blk was built as a pistol with a brace, yes. It's a pistol. If your V7 Blk was built as a rifle with a stock, no can't install unless you SBR the lower.
