Will a 9” MFR fit on a DD mid Length with an A2 front sight base? The rail is designed with a lip at the front bottom - fear FSB interference issues. — 2 Answers

The Daniel Defense MFR XS Rail Systems are designed to be used with low profile gas blocks and use a barrel nut opposed to delta ring and handguard cap. I would just recommend replacing your fixed front sight for a low profile gas block in order to fit this handguard as it was intended.

I asked if would if anyone has put the 9” rail on a DD M4 mid length if there were any fitment issues because to the lip on the bottom of the rail. That’s the WHOLE reason for making a 9” rail is to put it on a mid length rifle with a FSB. So basically again a 9” rail is normally a perfect fit for a mid length. Some prefer the FSB it bullet proof. Thanks for nothing.
