DeSantis recommends going with your normal waist size for the DeSantis Desperado Gun Belt w/ Cartridge Loops.

DeSantis is incorrect, and should be embarrassed. A gun-belt such as this is worn resting on the hips, not at the waist. You absolutely should order the next size larger from your pant size, if not 2 sizes depending on how low you want the belt to rest on your hips. It is best to take your hip measurement and use that. You can always use a regular belt to measure how low you want your gun belt to rest on your hips before you order - and again, use that measurement, not your waist/pant size.
