There's no milling/machining required to install this front sight.

This is not a true "clamp-on" sight - it uses 5 set screws to affix it to the barrel. The barrel doesn't need any machining, but it does benefit from having the dimple for a traditional set-screw gas block drilled opposite the gas port. Without this dimple, you'll need to lightly snug all the set screws, level your sight, then go back & tighten them up. If the barrel is dimpled, just tighten the screw opposite the gas port first, then the remaining screws. Use a tiny bit of red loctite on each screw (LESS IS MORE!!!).
