It is intended for use on standard springs, but may work with flatwire springs.
Having actually installed it on a flat-wire spring, I can say that it CAN be used, but will likely require (minor) modification. Due to flat-wire springs having a smaller ID, the OD on the Twang Buster won't snap inside the buffer spring. To fix this simply thread a bolt through the hole in the Twang Buster, put a nut on the bolt to hold it in place and attach it to an electric drill. Use a metal file to carefully reduce the Outer Diameter of the stepped section of the Twang Buster. Do so carefully as you want a pressure-fit inside the Buffer Spring. Enjoy.
