Compatibility with the 557 cannot be guaranteed. This is the information from EoTech for this part:

"Designed to extend the life of your Pre-2009 EOTECH 512/552 battery compartment. Perfect for worn or oxidized battery compartment springs and rubber grommets. NOTE: Inspect the silver ‘dog bone’ contacts inside the battery cap before making a purchase. If the ‘dog bone’ is missing or corroded, the battery cap is not serviceable and must be replaced."
