Is XR308 good for 5.56mm or is it strictly for .308?

The EOTech 552 A65 Holographic Sight XR308 reticle is specifically designed for .308 and the holdovers will not be as accurate for 5.56.

The EOTech HWS 552 Holographic Sight can be selected with either a Red 65 MOA Ring and 1 MOA dot, Or a Red XR308 Reticle.

This is not the 551, it uses CR123 batteries. However 552 and 553 take AA and both are included in the pictures - 553 has a qd mount. This is 552?
