It's supposed to look like that. All of the holographic sights have a grainy ring and dot. Don't focus on that. Focus on your target and you don't notice the grainy circle and dot.

It's called having astigmatism. I deal with the same issue. Look at the retinal through a pin sized hole or make a tiny hole with 4 fingers and look at the retical. It's like magic. Turns into a perfectly even lit circle.
