This upper receiver does not have either a forward assist, or a dust cover. The goal of the skeletonized receiver is to cut out as much weight as possible, but leave the firearm safe, and functional. It doesn't sound like a lot, but those 2 options add weight, and not much functionality, so those options were removed.
