Fab Defense states that the texture/material on the Gen 3 PMAG interferes with the MWG making it difficult to insert the magazine.

From experience, the gen 3 PMAG has a nub in the rear where it would almost meet the magwell of an AR receiver. It’s meant to prevent over insertion. The problem is that the FAB Defense has a lip in the same location on the inside of its magwell. The magazine nub bumps into the magwell grip and cannot be fully inserted. It is actually not because of the texture as others have indicated.
