Will it fit a m&p 9mm with a 7 in slide and the barrel is about 3 in long

This barrel is designed to fit the 4" M&P M2.0 Compact. It will not fit correctly in other length M&P pistols (full size, 3.6" compact, sub-compact, etc.)

I have an M2.0 Compact (4" OEM barrel) and like the look of slightly extended barrels, will this barrel fit the compact?

No, these barrels are designed for Full-size M&P9 pistols and will not fit the Sheild EZ pistols.

No, this barrel will not convert it to 9MM. You would need to get a conversion barrel.
