The muzzle velocity of these rounds is 1000 fps. Here's a link to the manufacturer's page with a ballistics and energy charts.

In the two actual chronograph tests I managed to find on YouTube for this ammo, average 5-shot velocities ranged from 777 fps (Gun_Sam, December 2024) and 883 fps (Jep’s Outdoor Adventures, March 2022) out of a five-inch barrel. Not a definitive sample I know, but one that makes it appear that Federal missed the mark on this round. Based on what I have seen, other calibers of Federal Solid Core Syntech ammo run much closer to the “box” velocity. If you are looking for hard-cast 45 ACP ammo to use in the woods, Underwood and Buffalo Bore push a 255 grain bullet to 900+ fps, and they do so consistently.
