If it's 9 shot, how is that a self defense round?

A
Answered by Woodstock, member, from OH, United States, on July 21, 2025

Typo, the load weighs .9 ounces as opposed to 1 or 1-1/4 ounces. They achieve this by using .30cal #1 buckshot instead of 00.

Is this 00?

A
Answered by Cordell, member, from UT, United States, on July 23, 2025

No this is NOT 00 buckshot, it's #1 buckshot and it is only 0.75 of an ounce with a fps of 1250.

It's a reduced load for practice.
#1 buckshot is smaller than 00 buckshot.

Will it run in a semi auto?

A
Answered by Frankie, member, from MD, United States, on August 31, 2025

Some guns like certain ammo others don’t, to know if your firearm will run this ammo in semi-auto you’ll need to try the ammo in that particular firearm to know for sure; even the same make and model firearms can have different ammo preferences.
If you’re running this ammo thru a Benelli M2 it runs almost everything smoothly but I have a Khan Arms ATAC that only likes 3” shells, it took me a lot of rounds to figure this out..
