As long as you have a continuous weaver/picatinny style rail then yes it can be mounted.

can it be mounted on a rifle 222 colt

It can be mounted on a flat top AR-style rifle. If you truly have a .222, it is likely a non-removable carry handle model of the Colt Sporter from the 90s - if you meant to type ".223 Colt", it could be either a fixed carry handle, or more likely (and more recently) a flat top.
