is there enough clearance between the handguard and the threads for a flat based silencer to be threaded onto the barrel?

The handguard used with the FM Products FM-9 AR 9mm Rear Charging Upper Receiver has an internal diameter of 1.3". Meaning your suppressor would have to be smaller than 1.3" in diameter to fit. You will likely need to use a different handguard or a barrel extension.
