Is the barrel properly headspaced for both 7.62x51mm NATO and .308 Winchester?

The FN America SCAR 17S Barrel Assembly .308 Caliber 20 Inch Barrel is headspaced properly for .308 Win and 7.62x51mm. However, It is always recommended to check yourself upon installation in your rifle.

The length difference between 16" factory barrel and this one is exactly 3.5".

Yes. This is a drop-in 20” barrel for a SCAR 17s. You just need to loosen the 6 screws holding in the barrel and slide out the old barrel. Highly recommend you buy a small torque screwdriver to properly toque the screws going into barrel extension.

what type of the treads on the muzzle end? if the flash hider is removed.
