What is the difference between the NO GO and the FIELD gage? Why would I need both?

Manufacturer Answer
A
Answered by Forster Products, Manufacturer from IL, United States, on August 21, 2025

For Forster the NOGO gage is more of a mid-range gage used by gunsmiths to help set the proper tension. The field gage is your true fail gage (if a rifle closes on this you should consult your gunsmith). Likely both gages are not needed, however by using both you have a clearer picture as to where your rifle is head-spaced.
