Will this fit over an A2 bird cage flash hider?

The Fortis Manufacturing Control Shield Muzzle Device is compatible with the Fortis Manufacturing Muzzle Brakes and the Rainier Arms XTC 2.0. It will not work with an A2 Bird Cage Flash Hider.

Can you shoot .223 with this.

Yes, the Fortis Manufacturing Control Shield Muzzle Device will work for rifles chambered in .223/5.56. However, the Fortis Manufacturing Control Shield Muzzle Device can only be attached using the Fortis Manufacturing Muzzle Brake or Ranier Arms XTC 2.0.

This work on 300 blackout too?

The Fortis Manufacturing Control Shield Muzzle Device will not currently work with a 300 Blackout. The Fortis Manufacturing Control Shield Muzzle Device attaches to either the Rainier Arms XTC 2.0 or Fortis Manufacturing Muzzle Brake. Currently those muzzle brakes are only compatible with 5.56.

The device can be used for .308 correct ?

This blast shield requires one of their own muzzle devices for mounting. As long as the .30 caliber muzzle device fits to your barrel, it would be able to be used with it.

Are there two different size control shields for 1/2" and 5/8" or does just the same size fits all?

This is not a threaded muzzle device. This shield fits onto muzzle devices that use their attachment system.

Will the diameter of the blast shield fit slightly under the end of the Fortis Night Rail, should the rail extend a 1/4” past?

The distance would only be about 1/8" - 1/4" beyond the muzzle device.
