After reading 33 reviews & 2 questions, nobody had concern if it's made in china or elsewhere. Where is it made, please? I prefer Made in USA.

Can you have optics on the handgun and still fit it in the bag?

This will depend on the size of your pistol. The manufacture states that this is for small to medium handguns. Pistols with a red dot mounted will still fit, however in some instances, depending on the size of your pistol, the optic may sit above the foam padding and not be fully "protected"

What are the actual dimensions of the vertical handgun component? I am concerned that it may be too small for guns Ruger Mark IV Hunter & Target.

The dimensions of the main compartment are 10 3/4" W x 7 1/2" D x 7 1/2" H.
