The thread pitch is our EZ Lok propriety thread. To mount it properly you will need our EZ Lok Barrel Adapter

Will the 45acp comp fit 1911 models?

The Griffin Armament EZ-LOK Comp will work for a 1911 as long as you have a .45ACP EZ-LOK barrel adapter that matches your thread pitch. You can find EZ-LOK barrel adapters on the manufacturer's website.
