I just bought a R1 Tactical AR Ultralight QD End Plate and Castle Nut - Silver.. I haven't staked it yet. Will these parts be compatible?

The Guntec USA AR-15 Mil-Spec Buffer Tube Set is 6061 T6 Aluminum and will include the End Plate, Castle Nut, 3 Oz carbine Buffer, and Upgraded Chrome Silicon Spring.

Is the buffer spring shorter in this tube than mil-spec spring in A2 buffer tube?

Yes, carbine springs are shorter than rifle length (A2) springs.
