I disagree with the first answer. If the muzzle device is for a 223/556 or a 9mm it has two things that are important. First the diameter HAS to be at least .358" to be big enough for a 9mm. So it's plenty big for a 223/555 to pass through. (It's important to note, the 223/556 and the .22lr are the same diameter. You can shoot a 22lr through a 223/556 gun with only a different bolt and magazines.). Second, both the 223/556 and the 9mm standard thread pitch are 1/2"-28. So is the .22lr. In summary yes, this will work on a .22lr.

It will fit onto a barrel with proper threads. It may not provide any function to 22LR. If you’re only asking if it’ll fit on your barrel and the threads match, the answer is yes. I have a CMMG 22LR barrel on my AR-15 with 1/2”-28 thread. If this product has 1/2”-28 threads, it will fit my 22LR barrel.

First answer is from an incompetent source evidently. Simple math and a lot less pressure would say if you bought the one with the correct thread pattern it will fit and operate just fine.
