This mount is designed for 9-11mm and 3/8" dovetails which are most common on rimfire and air rifles. Centerfire rifles will typically utilize a weaver or picatinny style base, or less commonly, a wider dovetail. If the rifle's base is compatible with 9-11mm or 3/8" this mount should be capable of handling centerfire recoil.

You will definitely need a separate set of rings because a one piece is not going to work on your receiver. I would recommend MPN: 22102 instead because of the heavy barrel and the adjustable objective. Please email us at techsales@opticsplanet.com and we can provide more appropriate options.

Will this overhang on the dovetail of a Mossberg 802 or 702 pinkster?

It will fit fine on the 802 and should fit the 702 as well, if anything there might be a very small amount of overhang.

This will mount on the dovetail, however it might be a little long, it could overhang the back and interfere with hammer manipulation.
