the bcg is not m16 cut is just off by a little and you can't install a 416 carrier because the the barrel extension has a tab protruding that will prevent it from closing. so it's semi auto all the way.

No, the MR556 barrel extension has a small tag that prevents the HK416 BCG to go into battery in an MR556 upper receiver. The MR556 BCG has a notch machined into it that indexes with the tag and allows compatibility.
