I had the same question, so I contacted someone from HeraUSA. They told me that the gen2 will be “completely different” but, was unable to provide any pictures. He said they would be available in late fall.

If you look at the GEN2 HERA STOCK IT HAS A PHOTO OR TWO OF THE GEN 2 HERA GRIP, NOTHING LIKE THESE PICTURES.. Been trying to figure out myself if these are just filler pics or if you get a gen 1 as a gen 2. The gen 2s are sharper edged and clearly marked with a bit more rearward reach to work on closing the gap a lot of the gen1s would leave.. the gen 2 looks great.
