Do you need an optics plate or does the rmr optic mount directly to the slide?

The Optics Ready (OR) slides use different mounting plates depending n your chosen optic. These are NOT included in the kit.

The HK VP9 Optic Ready Slide includes a non-threaded O-ring enhanced barrel.

Will this accept a vortex viper mounting plate and vortex viper rmr?

The HK VP9 Optic Ready Slide is not compatible with the Vortex Viper. The Vortex Viper uses the Docter/Noblex optic footprint while this slide is only compatible with optics that use the Trjicon RMR footprint.

It does not come with an adapter plate but it does come with a cover and the screws
