What comes with the stock. Does it require/need the heat plate? Does it come with the shield?

Yes, this stock does require a heat plate as it does not come with one. Our Ruger Mini 14/30 stocks come as pictured with installed sling swivel mounts pre-installed and no heat plate or liner. It requires the Ruger stock Forearm Liner to be used. Please note Aftermarket Forearm Liners may not fit correctly.

The Hogue Ruger Mini 14/30 and Ranch Rifle Stock does not have a place to mount a bipod on the forend.

I have a Ruger Mini 14 GB Model the serial number starts with185. Will this stock work for my rifle?

Yes. The Hogue Ruger Mini 14/30 and Ranch Rifle Stock will fit any Mini 14/30 with post 180 serial numbers.
