Would I need to run adapter plates and suppressed height sights for Glock 34 Gen 5????

The Holosun HE509-RD Enclosed Solar Powered Red Dot Sight includes a Glock MOS adapter plate in the box. So as long as you have an MOS (Optic Ready) model Glock 34 you will be able to install this optic using the adapter plate included in the box. To co-witness with the optic, you would need to use suppressor height sights. If you do not have an MOS model Glock 34, you will not be able to install this optic.

The Holosun HE509-RD Enclosed Solar Powered Red Dot Sight has a proprietary footprint but has an RMR footprint adapter plate. So if you use an RMR compatible piggy back mount of some sort plus the Holosun HE509-RD Enclosed Solar Powered Red Dot Sight RMR adapter plate it could work but would sit pretty high.

Will this sight fit on the Canik Rival?

Expert Answer

Answered by Ethan, Gear Expert, from IL, United States, on January 11, 2023

The Holosun HE509-RD Enclosed Solar Powered Red Dot Sight can fit your Canik Rival but will have a tall deck height. You will first need to install the RMR adapter plate included with your Canik to your slide. You will then need to install the RMR adapter plate included with this optic, then the optic will mount to that plate. Because 2 plates will have to be used it will sit a little high but would still function as intended.

does this sight use the holosun k foot print?

Expert Answer

Answered by Ethan, Gear Expert, from IL, United States, on December 01, 2022

The Holosun HE509-RD Enclosed Solar Powered Red Dot Sight does not use the Holosun K footprint. It is a proprietary design similar to the Aimpoint ACRO. It will fit any optic ready slide designed to fit the Trijicon RMR. It includes an adapter plate that will mount to RMR cut slides which will then allow this optic to mount to the plate.

This Holosun Enclosed Solar Powered Red Dot Sight uses the ACSS reticle and includes an MOS mounting plate to directly mount to MOS model Glocks. Other models of the 509T are offered with Holosuns 2 MOA dot and 32 MOA circle, not the ACSS reticle, and include an RMR adapter plate, not an MOS plate. This Holosun Enclosed Solar Powered Red Dot Sight uses a proprietary footprint and is not compatible with RMSc cuts. I'd recommend the Shield RMSc or Holosun 507K. Both can be found by using the links below:
