Will the HE503R fit on the HSCQD1 quick release base? And if it will, are they the same height?

The qd base you are reffering to and the 1/3 mount that comes with the unit would be the same height, it also comes with a low mount.

Unfortunately this model does not. I have a lot of Holosun’s products and I’m not sure why this model doesn’t have this feature.

That is correct, this uses the Aimpoint micro footprint.

Whats the difference between HE503 and HS503? Do both come with lens caps and 2 mounts? Doug

Yes, both units come with two mounts and lens caps although they won't be flip up. The major difference is the color of the reticle with the standard being red and the Elite is either a green or gold reticle. The "HS" is the standard Holosun models while the "HE" is the Elite Holosun models. The warranty on the Elite models is also better with a 10 year warranty on the electronics while the standard has a 3 year warranty.
