The 407C is just a dot reticle, while the 507C has a dot and circle reticle.

Reticle. The 400 series “only” has a red or green dot 2 minute of angle. The 500 series adds a massive 32 minute of angle circle plex in addition to the 2 MOA dot. With the 507 you can pick 2 MOA dot only, 32 MOA circle plex only, or both.
