You could mount this to the picatinny rail on the Marlin 1895 SBL but it will mount at AR height and the stock on the marlin will is considerably lower than an AR stock possibly making this optic difficult to use. It is a popular option on many lever action rifles to use a large window pistol red dot on a low picatinny mount. In my opinion it does sit a little too high for use on a lever gun, and so far I have not found anyone who makes a lower mount for it.
