Will the HS510C cowitness with Troy micro sights?

Expert Answer
A
Answered by Jonathan D., Gear Expert, from IL, United States, on September 09, 2019

This optic has a 1.41" optical center which is approximately an absolute co-witness for standard height AR iron sights. The Troy micro battle sights are lower than standard height iron sights so this red dot should be around a lower 1/3 co-witness with the Troy micro sights.

Would this be too large to be used to use as a 45° angle red dot on an AR?

Expert Answer

Yes, the Holosun HS510C 2 MOA Dot & 65 MOA Circle Feflex Red Dot Sight would most likely be too large to be mounted at a 45 degree offset.

You could mount this to the picatinny rail on the Marlin 1895 SBL but it will mount at AR height and the stock on the marlin will is considerably lower than an AR stock possibly making this optic difficult to use. It is a popular option on many lever action rifles to use a large window pistol red dot on a low picatinny mount. Holosun does make a riser for the HS510C, unfortunately we do not carry it. Here is a link to the manufacturer's website for the item:

Can you co-witness with AK iron sights?

Expert Answer

Answered by Ethan, Gear Expert, from IL, United States, on May 09, 2024

The Holosun HS510C 1x0.91-1.2in Open Reflex Red Dot Sight sits at a 1.41" (absolute) centerline height. This means it will likely be too tall to co-witness with standard AK iron sights.

Will this sight fit Glock 19 MOS Gen 5

Expert Answer
A
Answered by Ethan, Gear Expert, from IL, United States, on January 25, 2023

The Holosun HS510C 2 MOA Dot 65 MOA Circle Reflex Red Dot Sight is not compatible with a Glock 19 MOS. Your MOS model Glock included 4 adapter plates to mount optics with the RMR, DeltaPoint Pro, Docter, and C-MORE footprints. This means you can install micro-optics like the Trijicon RMR, Holosun 507C, Leupold Deltapoint Pro, Eotech EFLX, Vortex Viper and more.
