The Holosun P.ID 1000 Lumen Light is compatible with an AR15 as long as you have picatinny rail space available to mount the light.

Would this be any good for an AR-15 for home defense

The Holosun P.ID 1000 Lumen Light mounts to picatinny rail and could be used on an AR15, however, it is primarily designed for use on handguns. So the controls may not be as easy to operate on an AR15. I recommend the light at the link below.

will this fit on a glock 27 cover Rail

The Holosun P.ID 1000 Lumen Light will be compatible with a Glock 27 that has a ReCover Tactical picatinny rail equipped. However, it will overhang past the barrel/slide and will have issues with holster compatibility.

The Holosun P.ID 1000 Lumen Light is not compatible with TLR-1 compatible holsters. You will need to use a universal fit holster, or have a custom holster made.

The Holosun P.ID CREE LED Light is not compatible with the Glock 48. I would recommend the Streamlight TLR-7 Sub Ultra-Compact LED Tactical Weapon Light, which was specifically designed to fit slimline Glock rails. It can be found by using the link below:
