They can be used with the proper sabot. Harvester muzzleloader products would be the place to go for sabots.

Will these in .45 colt in a Ruger Blackhawk?

A
Answered by Dan, member, from TN, United States, on September 12, 2021

check the diameter of the bullets. A .45 colt will use a .451 to .452 diameter bullet. You may have to shorten the brass to be able to use them.

will these work fine in .45 ACP??

MPN: 45215 is listed with the following information provided by Hornady: "45 Cal. .452" (460 S&W)". FTX ammo is geared towards large bore revolvers and lever-actions. Could it work in a .45 ACP firearm, possibly, but proper feeding and function cannot be guaranteed as it will be up to the end user to do their due diligence in terms of what and how they are reloading and confirming proper feeding/function.
