What happens when there is no power to the unit for possibly days at a time? Will it still work? What if I never intend to have power to it?

The RFID and keypad functions require power, however you can still use the physical key and barrel lock without power to the safe.

The Hornady RAPiD Safe AR Gunlocker (MPN:98190) weighs 50 pounds and has interior dimensions of 40.5" x 13.5" x 5.5", and exterior dimensions of 42" x 15.25" x 6.75". The Hornady AR Gunlocker (MPN:98191) weighs 62 pounds with interior dimensions of 40.5" x 13.5" x 8.75", and exterior dimensions of 42" x 15.25" x 10".

Is the unit water proof when the door is shut? I’d like to mount to the bed of a truck.

Hornady does not specify if this safe is waterproof. It does require power for many of the functions of unlocking the safe. It is likely that the electronics of the safe and the safe itself are not waterproof. You will need to contact the manufacturer for the waterproof rating.

Can this be stood up, mounted vertically.

I suppose it could be mounted vertically, but the interior is designed to hold the firearms horizontally, and would not secure them in a vertical orientation.

Unfortunately, we do not carry the RFID tag individually. I suggest reaching out to the manufacturer directly.

Can this be used with the door facing up? Like if it were mounted behind a set of truck seats and have access from reaching over the seat to open it.

You should be able to mount the safe facing up, but we can not guarantee that the spring loaded door will be able to open fully and over come its own weight in that orientation.
