Yes, this will mount to just about any long gun with a picatinny rail that is at least 2" long.

What are the deminsions on the device? I need to know it’s hieght to see it my gunsafe with close with the device attached?

The dimensions are as follows:
Bezel Diameter: 1 in. / 2.54 cm.
Length: 4.1 in. / 10.414 cm.

The bezel size almost flush to the rail, so height off the gun would be around 1.2".

how big of a pic rail is required

You will need around 5 rail slots to mount the WML.
