This is the PEQ-15 high powered Military/Law Enforcement model. The IR Illuminator is stronger, and adjustable for “focus” of the beam, whereas the ATPIAL-C is the Civilian version that has reduced power IR Illumination, that you are not able to adjust the beam, and it also has weaker Visible and IR Lasers. This is because the US FDA has determined that civilians are not capable of safely owning or operating “Military/LE grade” lasers. Funny, I thought that a laser was just a really focused beam of light- what does that have to do with Food or Drugs? I think the US FDA needs to stay out of our rights and freedoms as Americans.....
