I have this model:ITT Night Quest 160. I left the batteries in it for an extended period of time, and the batteries leaked into it. Can it be repaired? — 2 Answers

I talked to a guy at ITT and he warned me specifically about this problem. The tube in this unit is different than most in that the PSU isn't integrated into the tube pot (unit), instead it's it's own standalone unit on the circuit board and it is RIGHT NEXT TO THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT at the far end. When the battery leaks it often destroys the PSU. That is what will need to be replaced. ALWAYS take your batteries out when not in use!!!
