What is the outer diameter of this? Says 1.2 dia is that short for diameter?

Would this work on a 9mm?

This KAK Slim Extended 5/8-24 Flash Can is not compatible with 9mm. Most 9mm carbines use 1/2x28 or 1/2x36 threads, not 5/8x24. This also isn't bored wide enough to accommodate 9mm.
