No, you would instead use the mounting screws that come with your M300/M600 Scout light.

I own both the surefire scout light and the knights mount, first of all the scout light does NOT come with mounting screws for direct mounting of the light, how do I know? I called surefire and asked if mine was supposed to come with them and they said no. second, the knights mount does come with mounting screws. I know this because I actually own it.
