Can you use the 6.5 creedmore brake on a 308 ? I see there are different part numbers. — 2 Answers

You can as long as the threading match to barrel and muzzle brake, however they are made for each caliber to handle the different specs of the barrel for that caliber.

The 6.5 (.264) is a smaller bullet than the .308 caliber bullet. I wouldn’t use any bigger caliber bullet in a smaller caliber part, especially a part that is in the path of travel of the bullet.
