Short answer... yes. Longer answer is that, again yes it'll work bc the 6.5mm diameter bullet from the 6.5 creedmoor is smaller than a 308/7.62. You can find studies on the recoil effectiveness when shooting a 6.5 creedmoor using a 308 muzzle device vs a dedicated 6.5/270 muzzle device. The basic answer you'll get from those studies is that yes there is a difference, being the dedicated 6.5/270 muzzle device is more effective for a 6.5mm bullet/6.5 creedmoor, but there's not really any noticeable difference to the shooter bc a human isn't going to feel the literal 1-3% difference.
