Actually did work on maverick 88, its not mag fed tube fed. Worked great installed and love it, running a cheap red dot works.

does it natively fit? no. can it be modified to fit? yes. everything lines up except the ejector screw. what i did was put the rear pin thru pressed it flat against the receiver downward and threaded in the ejector screw that was supplied. snugged it, backed it off, snugged it, backed it off. it left a screw impression in the metal. then i took a center punch to the dead center of that screw impression it made, found a drill bit that fit snugly in the hole of the 590 ejector screw hole. drilled the hole and it fit. and the torx nut on the outside is wider than the hole so it doesnt even look like its been modified
