What is the length of this optic? I don't see it listed in the description.

The Leapers UTG 1-8x28mm MRC Scope is 249mm, or 9.8" in length. It features a 30mm tube and 28mm objective lens.

I have a fixed front sight that is 2" higher than my rail. Will the mount raise the scope high enough to see over it?

A fixed front sight will interfere with your sight picture and mounting a scope high enough to clear a fixed front sight would not be ideal.

How does this scope function with iron sights? Does the fixed front sight visually interfere?

Iron sights will not co-witness with a magnified scope. You would either want flip up sights or remove iron sights completely.

According to Leapers, all current UTG scopes have second focal plane reticles.
