Will it work for smith and Wesson m&p 15 pistol 5.56?

The UTG Pro M-LOK AR15 10in Super Slim Free Float Handguard will fit your M&P if you do not have, or if you remove the delta ring and fixed front sight/railed gas block. With the delta ring removed and a low profile gas block installed, this handguard will fit using the included barrel nut.

How long is the 5.5" handguard?? I need 5.5" exactly for my muzzle device to stick out 1/4 of an inch but sometimes the actual length differs slightly

This model is the UTG Pro M-LOK AR15 10in Super Slim Free Float Handguard. We currently do not have a 5.5 inch model and was not able to find the UTG Pro M-LOK AR15 Super Slim Free Float Handguard Model information on the manufacturers website. Since the UTG Pro M-LOK AR15 Super Slim Free Float Handguards vary slightly in length I recommend contacting the manufacturer in regards to that information.

Yes. The UTG Pro M-LOK AR15 10in Super Slim Free Float Handguard will fit your AR9. Ar9's are generally considered AR15's chambered in 9mm compatible with most aftermarket AR15 handguards.
