The CDS models come with the standard turrets on the scope and come with a CDS voucher instead of blank turrets. The voucher can be used to order a custom turret from Leupold. They would collect all of your firearm and load data and then they would custom make a turret for you that they would eventually ship to you directly and you would install on your scope.
There should have been a CDS voucher in the box. Please reach out to my customer service department via email at sales@opticsplanet.com, by phone at 1-800-504-5897 or LiveChat in the upper left hand corner of the website to discuss possible solutions.
MPN: 170689 is the standard duplex reticle with no CDS voucher in the box while MPN: 170692 has the wind-plex reticle and comes with a free CDS voucher.
CDS means "Custom Dial System". The scope with this option will have two blank turrets you can send in to Leupold with the information card included providing all of the request information pertaining to your firearm. You can view more information regarding this system at https://www.leupold.com/dials.
The Windplex is a standard set of crosshairs with windage lead stadia lines on the horizontal, x-axis crosshair.
