What is the difference between 170708 and 170704?

708 has CDS
I believe that CDS is the dial adjustment for elevation aim point for varying ranges

This scope shows to have side parallax adjustment, but doesn't mention it in specs.

The scope would work well, but not the mount in the kit. That mount is meant for AR-pattern rifles. You'd be better off with a picatinny rail and separate rings for your setup.
