what is a second focal plane ??

Does the illuminated fire dot auto turn off when there is no movement and then turn back on with motion to the same setting??

No, the Leupold VX-3HD 3.5-10x50mm Rifle Scope does not utilize any shake awake technology. Illumination is controlled by the user via the illumination dial.

Depending on what model you have, it may have a 30mm tube or a 1inch tube.
