Does it come with lens covers and if not what kind should i get that flips up when push a button?

The Leupold VX-Freedom CDS 3-9x50mm Rifle Scope does not come with lens covers. I recommend using the Leupold Alumina Flip Back Objective and Eyepiece Lens Cover Set at the link below.

Will this hold zero on a .308?

Yes. The Leupold VX-Freedom CDS 3-9x50mm Rifle Scope is shockproof, and capable of holding zero with a .308 as well as higher calibers.

Do you recommend this scope on a Diana 48 springer air rifle (18 FPE at mussel). Springers are fairly notorious for breaking scopes.
