Do the legs fully retract to within the grip section?

Yes, the Lion Gears M-Lok 5-Position Folding Grip Bipod will stow the legs completely within the dimensions of the grip when not in use.

Does the grip fold horizontally?

Yes. The Lion Gears M-Lok 5-Position Folding Grip Bipod can fold completely flat in both the forward and back positions. It can also lock in at a 45 degree angle in both forward and back positions as well. It has an adjustable grip pod height from 7.5" - 9".
